Red desaturation - e.g. post box

A
Pain on eye movements

A
Afferent pupillary defect

How long does it take to recover?
A
2-6 wks

What is another disease linked to this?
A
MS - 45-80% of patients develop it within 15 yrs

How is it treated?
A
High dose - Methylprednisolone (slightly stronger than prednisolone)
Then switch to prednisolone
