what might motivate people to change

A

People are motivated to change when the cost of staying the same and getting
the same outcome becomes too much, or when negative cycles have increased
to such an extent that the status quo becomes unbearable, is in danger of

Q

what is the prime counseling agent

A

The human interpersonal relationship is
the prime counselling agent of change, and not insight, reason or catharsis. In this
regard, clients are assisted by counsellors to achieve unconditional self-acceptance
instead of conditional self-esteem

Q

discuss the importance of process notes

A

process notes are a stepping stone
for the developing counsellor to integrate the multilayered complexities of a
counselling encounter. It also integrates and closes the encounter after a client
has left.

Process notes make it possible to share your views and perspectives on what
happened during the counselling encounter, firstly with yourself. Secondly, you
can share your cases more fully and in finer detail with your (future) supervisors
and trainers. In fact, they will probably be highly impressed with you that you
can produce such an in-depth report
