Outsiders were more responsible for the collapse of Ghana because outsiders called Almoravids invaded Ghana and weakened them, the Almoravids brought their animals and the animals ate all of their grass and ruined the land for farm and a country Ghana conquered rebelled and weakened Ghana’s power.

Mali reached it’s peak of wealth, power and fame. Islam spread throughout Africa because of his influence. His army capture major cities that became part of Mali. He also encouraged education.
How were Sundiata and Mansa Musa similar? How were they different?
Sundiata and Mansa Musa were similar in that they conquered trade routes and cities. Sundiata conquered Ghana and its trade routes. Mansa Musa conquered important trade cities . They both built up the empire - Sundiata by creating farmlands and crops and feeding the people and Mansa Musa by building schools and encouraging education. Both used religion to keep peace. Sundiata practiced all the local religions and Mansa Musa was a Muslim but he was tolerant of other religions. They were different because because Sundiata emphasized farming and Mansa Musa emphasized education. They were also different because Mansa Musa was Muslim and Sundita was not.
How did Mali’s growth and power actually help lead to their downfall?
Mali was just too big of an empire and the government no longer could control it.
