Germany is a federal republic country with 16 states each state has its constitution, parliament, and government. Germany in WWI fought on the side of the triple alliance, and Germany was defeated, Had to pay huge sums to victors for damages- Which caused Germany to suffer economically and caused inflation. Hitler came to power. Germany invaded Poland. Hitler made Germany’s army stronger. Germany, Italy, and Japan allied, They lost to the allies. Germany was divided into two for 40 years. One side of Germany made a wall so no one can change sides. This wall is called the Berlin Wall. Germany Unified again in 1990.
