Flight Experience

A

NOT LESS THAN 40 HOURS.
* 5 HOURS may be completed in a flight
simulator.
* 10 hrs of SOLO.
* 5 HRS SOLO CROSS-COUNTRY FLIGHT
* At least one cross country flight totaling not less than 270 km (150 nm) in the course of which full stop landings must be made at 2 different aerodromes.

Types of Flight time

A
  • DUAL INSTRUCTION TIME
  • SOLO TIME
  • PILOT-IN-COMMAND (PIC)
  • CROSS COUNTRY TIME
  • Block Time - Time where the engine starts and ends when the engines are turned off
  • Flight Time - Time start when the aircraft applies full power for take-off and ends when the aircraft comes to a full stop
  • Hobbs Time - Time where the battery starts and ends.
  • Tach Time - For maintenance purposes. Determines when will the aircraft will be serviced.
