Registration
No person may operate a civil aircraft
unless it has been registered BY ITS
OWNER/Operator and CAAP has issued
Certificate of Registration (COR) which
shall be carried aboard that aircraft for all
operations
Markings
No person may operate a civil aircraft registered in the Republic of the Philippines UNLESS IT DISPLAYS NATIONALTIY AND REGISTRATION MARKS in accordance with the requirements of this section.
Markings to be used
- Philippine Registration
- RP - 1234 Government
- RP - C1234 Civil
- RP - R1234 Restricted
- RP - X1234 Non type certificated
- RP - S1234 Sports
Identification plate
The operator shall affix to each aircraft registered under the laws of the Republic of the Philippines an IDENTIFICATION PLATE
Certificate of airworthiness
Certificate given to an aircraft after applying to the regulatory agency of the state of design or state of registry.
Weight of the aircraft
Aircraft shall be re-weighed every five (5)
years when used for general aviation.
Minimum Flight and Navigational Equipment
- Airspeed Indicator
- Altimeter
- Vertical speed indicator
- Turn and slip indicator turn coordinator
- Magnetic Compass
- Outside temperature indicator
- Time piece which indicates hours, minutes, and seconds
(b) Whenever an aircraft is operating at night or when two pilots are required, each pilot’s station shall have separate flight instruments as listed above and additionally as follows.

Engine Instrument Requirements:
- Fuel gauges for each tank
- Oil pressure indicator for each engine.
- Oil Temperature indicator for each engine.
- Tachometer for each engine.
Radio Equipment
No person may operate an aircraft unless it is equipped with radio equipment.

Aircraft light required for all aircraft operating at night:
- Landing Light
- Anti-collision light system (Strobe Lights)
- Navigation/position Lights
- Illumination of flight instruments and
equipment necessary for the safe operation of aircraft - Lights in all passenger compartments
- Flashlight for each crew member station
