Structural heart disease refers to a number of defects which affect the valves and chambers of the heart and aorta

Give some examples of congenital and acquired heart defects
A
Congenital:
- Atrial septal defect
- Ventricular septal defect
- Coarctation of aorta
- Patent foramen ovale
- Patent ductus arteriosus
- Tetralogy of Fallot
Acquired:
- Valvular dysfunctions (atrial stenosis/regurgitation)
- Muscular (cardiomyopathies)
