Workload -- Organize, Prioritise, delegate -- Anticipate issues -- Communicate - Ask for help, manage others expetations Emotional – share issues with others General pervasive stress -- no different from most people -- socialising, activities outside medicine -- Music, racket sports, gym

How do you recognise you are stressed:
A
I enjoy a certain amount of stress: motivates me
General: Irritable, make mistakes
I interrupt people when talking. REALISE. Apologise
Tension Headache: exam revision

Example stressful situation:
A
Trache obstruction (emotional - debrief) On call nights, high workload, sick colleague (work load – communicate, prioritise)
