What does IPCC stand for and what is its main objective?
Is a series of reports on the effevr of industril activity on the biosphere and the human environment.
The conclusions it reaches are these:
1) The avarage air, ocean and land-surface temperatures of the planet are rising.
2) Climate change, measured, for instance, by the average of these temperatures, affects natural ecosystems, agriculture, animal husbandry, and human environmants.
3) The global atmospheric concentration of CO2 has increased at an accelerating rate.
4) Increasingly accurate geophysical measurement allow the history of temperature and atmospheric carbon to be tracked.
The climate-temperature rise is caused by greenhouse gases and it is manmade CO2 that is principally responsible.
