What does it mean that our minds are storytelling machines?

A

Mind loves to take ambiguous situations and make up a likely explanation. We hate uncertainty.

How should we relate to our stories?

A

We should see them as mere thoughts, hypotheses or possibilities…we can never know if they are absolutely true

How to unravel a story?

A

Ask why did that happen or is that true?

Keep asking until you run out of answers.

Soon you will realize how shallow or unbelievable some of the stories turn out to be.
