What is memory?
Memory is where programs and data being processed are kept and needs power to keep its contents.
What is storage?
Storage is where computer keeps data and programs permanently and keep its contents and even keeps content when power is off.
The definition of Online storage:
It is disk space on a server on the internet that is allocated to you.
Advantages of Online storage:
- Accessible from any device wherever there is internet access.
- Saves space on the user’s computer.
- Share files easily with others.
- Backup and security managed by storage provider.
Disadvantages of online storage:
- Only accessible where there is internet access.
- Can be slow to access large files.
- No control over backup and security.
- You pay for extra storage space.
What is Disk defragmentation?
It occurs over time, files get split up and scattered on the disk
What does a Disk defragmenter do?
It puts parts of files back together again, computer speeds up
Definition of a Motherboard:
It is a large circuit board that contains connections for all components
What is the function of a Motherboard?
It allows components to communicate
What is the function of the CPU and what does it stand for:
Central Processing Unit, it does all the processing
In what is the speed measured of the CPU?
GHz
RAM
Random Access Memory, anything you work on must be loaded into RAM

Read Only Memory, it is one or more chips on the Motherboard that control the basic hardware of the computer
