Q

What is the blood supply of the Duodenum?

A
  • Proximal to Major duodenal papilla: Celiac trunk → Common hepatic artery → Gastroduodenal artery + superior pancreaticoduodenal artery
  • Distal to Major duodenal papilla: SMA → inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery
    • The first part of the duodenum lies within the peritoneum, but its other parts are retroperitoneal
