antiviral medication can help reduce flare ups and transmission but it never goes away
How are gonorrhea and chlamydia transmitted?
bacterial infections transmitted by sexual fluids
what are the s/sx of gonorrhea?
initial symptoms are localized to the infected area; painful urination, pus-like discharge from genitals; pain or swelling
what differentiates gonorrhea from chlamydia?
gonorrhea causes pus-like discharge and chlamydia causes painful intercoursw
what is the treatment for gonorrhea?
antibiotics but it is slowly becoming resistant over the years
what are the s/sx of chlamydia?
initial symptoms localized to infected area; painful urination, painful discharge in women and men; painful intercourse in women
what is the treatment for chlamydia?
antibiotics
