What type of tags must be placed on isolation points?
Isolation points for inner company clearance and hold authorizations must be physically tagged with “danger tags” including whole numbers and log by a locking device if possible to prevent operation
The personnel who request an authorization must:
-Understand the isolation & points & any limitations of the authorization & degree of protection it offers
-Execute work to limit the duration of any abnormal configuration
-Release the authorization as soon as safe & proper to do so

-operate switches and breakers
-Energizer, deenergize, cables, transformers, or capacitors
-calibrate or test relays
-Wash energized equipment
-Replace aircraft, warning, lights near energize conductors

- EMS database changes that might affect an RTU
-Climbing inspections
-pumping underground vaults
OK authorization
Formal statement that Grants permission to perform a field of activity that may affect the electrical system
What is needed to perform work that may have an effect on electrical system?
A minimum of an OK authorization is required from the GCC or DCC prior to doing any work that might affect the electrical system
Does an OK offer any protection?
Implies are offers no protection from energize, electrical equipment, including protection from reenergizing of the equipment

Hotline order authorization

They will request that TSO/DSO re-issue the authorization
What will never be done in regards to authorizations?
Authorizations will never be knowingly, violated by ordering, performing or permitting any switching operation on any tag device even for purposes of establishing isolation point for a different authorization
What will be done in terms of holdout numbers if more isolation points must be added to an order and the authorization has been issued?
-must sure no authorization is violated
-If no isolation points in original issued hold are to be changed and only additional points are required
-original hold will remain unchanged and in effect
-Africa completing require switching of additional isolation points under direction of TSO/DSO an additional new authorization will be issued naming additional isolation points

Upon completion of the work on the Sdge primary electric system and authorization will be released back to control center personnel who issued the authorization
