Maculopapular rash with target lesions
May develop into vesicles or bullae

Usually occurs within a week of taking a drug with symptoms resembling an upper respiratory tract infection

Mucosal involvement
Mucosal ulceration

At least 2 of conjunctiva, mouth, urethra, pharynx or gastrointestinal tract
What sign is positive in someone with Steven-Johnson syndrome?
Nikolsky sign in erythematous bits
What is a positive nikolsky sign?
Blisters and erosions appear when the skin is rubbed gently
What is the management of Steven-Johnson syndrome?
Hospital admission is required for supportive treatment
