What is the effect of anabolic steroid abuse on cardiovascular system?
It is estimated that abusers have 4-6 times higher incidences of sudden cardiac death than non-abusers of the same age. The abuse of anabolic steroids is also associated with the development of conditions such as hypertension, cardiomyopathy, myocardial infarction, or chronic heart disease.
