[Step 4] Business Excellence

A

We have an A+ rating with the BBB. LeafGuard is the only gutter protection company with Good Housekeeping’s seal of approval. Good Housekeeping has done the research for you. Good Housekeeping tested LeafGuard and found that it can handle 32” of rain per hour and keeps out 95% of the debris. They are so confident in LeafGuard that they give you a 2-year performance guarantee. Why is that important? If LeafGuard does not work on your home and we can’t fix it, you are entitled to a full refund, making this a risk-free investment.

[Step 4] Undivided Responsibility

A

There are two ways to do a home improvement project. A manufacturer makes it, a supplier warehouses it, a contractor sells it, a subcontractor installs it, and an outside company holds the warranty. If there is a problem, you don’t know who to call.

At LeafGuard, we are uniquely different. We do NOT use subcontractors. The heart and soul of our company is our skilled craftsman. We are the manufacturers, we install the job. If something were ever to go wrong, you call us directly. You get the benefit of a professional installation team. Each of our employees have gone through a rigorous training program before ever leading a project on your home. Again, we do not use subcontractors. Which way would you prefer to do business?

LeafGuard’s Comprehensive Assessment

A

“While I was outside, I did a comprehensive inspection of your gutters. Here is what I found (Show video/ Photo Story/ Problem Areas/ Create Urgency).

“You called me about the debris, but you should be more concerned about the water and where it is going.”

Kill Open Gutter

A

“The open gutter is just like the gutters you have on your home. It seemed like a good idea, but it doesn’t work. This is a flawed design. Look how thin this is…(BEND THE GUTTER)

As you can see, the Open Gutter is the same height front to back (PLACE NAIL ON TOP OF GUTTER).

That means when your gutter clogs or is not properly pitched, it fills with water and runs over the front. This causes problems with your foundation.

What you are NOT seeing is the water running over the back and saturating the fascia board and roof deck.

This happens every time there is a heavy rain and the gutter is not kept perfectly clean. This constant saturation causes the wood to rot.

The gutter does not have to fill completely to have water running through this hole (POINT TO NAIL COMING THROUGH HOLE). EVERY TIME it rains, water comes off the roof and lands on top of this bracket or nail, wicking back into the wood.

Some of it even wraps back to the roof deck. This causes rot to your fascia, rafter tails, and the decking of your roof. This is why your gutters pull away and fall off.”

Kill Open Gutter

A

“The gutter is an open trough. It’s a trash can for all the debris that falls from your trees and roof.

What goes in your gutter ends up in your downspout…

When was the last time you removed your downspouts, cleaned them, and put them back up (WAIT FOR ANSWER)?

Your gutters may be clean, but if your downspouts are restricted or clogged, your gutters will back up and rot your roof deck and fascia.

It is not IF they are going to clog, but WHEN they are going to clog. Then, you have to get on your ladder and remove the debris.

There is a ladder fall every minute of every day. 90% of ladder fatalities happen from a single-story step ladder (from extending their reach). The ladder is the most dangerous tool we own.

I know you would agree after what I have shown you, that the open gutter is a flawed design, right (WAIT FOR ANSWER)?

A reasonable person wouldn’t put a flawed design back on their home, would you (WAIT FOR ANSWER)?

Kill Screens

A

“Screens are put on top of gutters to keep debris out.

Debris piles up on the screen and now you have to get back up on your ladder and clean your screens and gutters.

Debris creates a dam on the screen and water backs up into your roof deck and fascia, causing rot.

No matter how inexpensive they are, if they don’t work, is it money well spent?

And you still haven’t solved your problem of water going through the screw or nail hole, have you?

Kill Filters

“I’m sure you’ve heard of these Filters.

They come in 4-foot sections. It has a plastic base and surgical steel mesh that comes apart (SHOW SEPARATION).

It’s glued together on-site by a bead of silicone. But here’s the problem: it’s a filter!

Can you think of any filter in your home that doesn’t require maintenance or replacing (DISCUSS EXAMPLES)?

Filters are made to be cleaned. What does that mean for you?”

Kill Filters

A

“The company requires you to refresh the membrane. What do they mean? You get on your ladder, climb up with a scrub brush, warm water and soap solution, and clean them every two months.

They promise your gutters will never clog…of course what clogs is the top…

Now, not even water is getting in the gutter…technically saran wrap would work the same way…

But it creates problems. Let’s hear what a filter customer has to say (PLAY FILTER VIDEO).

Kill Metal Covers

A

“I could tell you all kinds of problems with this metal cover, but here’s what you need to know:

To install this metal cover, they are going to rip back to the second row of shingles, breaking the manufacturer’s seal and voiding your roof warranty.

Most often they are nailed or screwed to your roof.

In high winds, the brackets will come loose and they will rattle like this… [RATTLE THE COVERS]

“When it rains, the water will blow under the shingles due to the seal being broken, damaging your roof deck.”

“Snow and ice melts on your roof due to the air in your attic being warmer than the air outside and then freezes when it reaches the metal cover, causing an ice dam.

Water will back up and saturate your roof deck, fascia, and rafter tails.

Metal covers will void your roof warranty. You don’t want that, right?

“There are many problems with this product. But here’s what you need to know:

Debris is going to collect on this front lip, causing the water to overflow and attack your foundation.

This is still an open gutter. The water is still getting to your fasteners and wicking back to your fascia board.

This product pulls away and falls off your home.”

[PRICE CONDITIONING]

“Now, with new gutters and one of these metal covers, it would run up to __$9,330___.

Q

[Slide 15] LeafGuard: Get it Today. Protect it for Life

A

LeafGuard has a distinctive nose-forward design (USE PEN) that keps out 95% of debris.

Our reverse-curve technology handles up to 32-inches of rain per hour. The faster the rain comes down, the better it works.

It is the nose-forward design combined with the reverse curve that sets us apart.

The screw that holds LeafGuard is above the waterline. Water will never get to your fascia board, causing rot.

17
Q

[Step 6; Slide 16]

Backsplash

A

LeafGuard is designed with a built-in BACKSPLASH, which ensures that no water can back into your home…

The One-Piece design will not allow water from your roof to land on the bracket or screw hole.

We install a drip edge/ flashing that attaches to the backsplash of your gutter and seals off your roof.

The flashing is tucked 3” underneath the starter strip, protecting your roof.

18
Q

[Step 6; Slide 17]

Liquid Adhesion

A

Two breaks on the hood, as well as the shape of the nose, are designed to carry water into the gutter.

This is liquid adhesion.

LeafGuard can handle 32” of rain per hour, an amount that has never been recorded.

19
Q

[Step 6; Slide 18]

Thick Material

A

We custom-form your system to the exact measurements of your home.

Unlike other companies, we do not cut costs by using cheaper materials. LeafGuard is significantly thicker than any other gutters on the market.

LeafGuard will not sag. This gutter is 240’ long.

LeafGuard has structural integrity and is built to last.

20
Q

[Step 6; Slide 19]

Crimp in Front –Strength

A

Our crimp adds extra strength to the system. LeafGuard will never deform due to ice or snow.

You’ll learn more about our best-in-industry warranties.

21
Q

[Step 6; Slide 20, Part 1]

Strong ABS Brackets

A

This strong ABS bracket supports your LeafGuard system. It will not rust or corrode. It is made out of the same material as motorcycle helmets and automobiles.

It is lightweight, yet it supports 250 pounds, which is equivalent to eight feet of snow.

The greater the downward pressure, the tighter it is pushed into your fascia board.

We install our brackets every two feet. Open gutters are mounted every 3-5 feet.

22
Q

[Step 6; Slide 20, Part 2]

Strong ABS Brackets

A

The bracket is above the waterline (POINT TO PICTURE).

If we clog the system on purpose, it will only reach this line.

Water will never overfill and reach the fasteners, making it impossible for our gutters to pull away like your gutters.

This is why we are the only company that offers a LIFETIME No Pull away or Detachment Warranty.

23
Q

[Step 6; Slide 21]

Wrap

A

The first thing we are going to do is inspect and replace any rotten fascia wood and wrap it with the same material as your LeafGuard, ensuring you will never have to replace it again.

24
Q

[Step 6; Slide 22, Part 1]

The Big Mouth

A

One of the distinct features of LeafGuard is we add a Big Mouth on every downspout.

This opens up the entire bottom of the gutter, four times larger than your gutter.

Nothing will ever clog our system.

The coated river bottom promotes a positive water flow into the Big Mouth, creating a flushing action.

The self-flushing action eliminates any small debris that either follows the water in or blows in on a windy day.

25
Q

[Step 6; Slide 22, Part 2]

The Big Mouth

A

If the debris is small enough to get through this opening (USE THE CUTAWAY), it is small enough to pass through the Big Mouth and this oversized downspout.

Your LeafGuard system will not hold water like your old gutters, so you will not have a breeding ground for mosquitos and the diseases they bring.

This also helps prevent mold and termites from destroying your home.

26
Q

[Step 6; Slide 23]

Oversized Downspouts

A

Here is the downspout you have on your home. Here’s the LeafGuard Downspout, 30% thicker than the standard downspout.

LeafGuard’s downspout will handle twice the amount of water as your downspout.

27
Q

[Step 6; Slide 24]

Drain Defenders

A

Say hello to your new ladder! After 3 or 4 weeks, you can check to see how your LeafGuard system is working without ever getting on a ladder.

You will usually find a little debris. Then, check the system every three to four months.

Drain Defenders stop any further buildup of debris that could clog your underground drains.

It also keeps critters from climbing up your downspouts and causing damage or a clog.

Warranties

A

Leaf Guard! Get it Today. Protect it for Life! We provide the best in-industry warranties.

LIFETIME PAINT FINISH WARRANTY

The Paint finish on our downspouts,as well as our gutters, is a baked polymer coating, not a spray coating.

Our paint is a two-step process. First, a primer coating is rolled on and then baked in an oven.

Then, a polymer coat is rolled on and baked in an oven like a fine car finish.

A polymer coating will not allow dirt particles to be embedded in our finish. A normal paint finish is porous and will trap particles of dirt within the paint.

This is why they stain and discolor.

The polymer coat finish is stain and fade-resistant, and guaranteed for a LIFETIME not to crack, peel, or blister
