No because once it has adapted to cell it can’t change
Where are stem cells found?
Stem cells are found in the brain, bone marrow, blood, blood vessels, skeleton muscles, skin, liver and human embryos.
What are the two types of stem cells?
Adult stem cells - these are unspecialised cells that can develop into many types of cells.
Embryonic stem cells - these are unspecialised cells that can develop into any types of cell.
Why do people object to Embryonic stem cells?
They object because stem cells are taken from the embryo and people think this is wrong because it could be an unborn child.
What are the advantages of using Embryonic stem cells?
Helps to stop people suffering.
Treating disorders costs money.
There are laws in place to stop it going to far.
What are the disadvantages of Embryonic screening?
Destroys possible develop of unborn children.
People may want to screen their embryos in order to make their ideal child.
