What is a stem cell?
A stem cell is a undifferenciated cell that can divide into more cells and can become other types of cells
What are plant stem cells called?
Meristems

Root and shoot tips
What can meristems be used to do
It can be used to produce clones of plants quickly and economically. It can be used to clone plants with special features such as resistance to a disease
What are the two types of animalstem cells?
Embryonic stem cell and adult stem cell.
Where are embryonic and adult stem cells found?
Adult stem cells are found in bone marrow Embryonic stem cells are found in the embryo
What is the difference between embryonic and adult stem cells?
Embryonic stem cells can differenciated into any type of cell, while adult stem cells can only differenciate in some cell types
Why are stem cell good treating human diseases?
Embryonic stem cells can be used to produce any kind of cells, tissues, and organs, however adult stem cells are more limited because they can only differenciate to form blood cells.
