Stem Cells
Undifferentiated or unspecialized cells, they can produce many different kinds of cells.
Totipotent Stem Cells
Can become any type of cell in the body
→ This is usually is found in the early stages of human embryos
Pluripotent Stem Cells
These cells can produce many types of cells but, not all
→ Found as embryos develops
Adult Stem Cells
A stem cell that can only produce a certain types of cell
→ Found after birth
Body Tissue Stem Cells
Can produce the same kind of tissue (Skin, liver, etc.)
Bone marrow
Can produce any blood cell
Umbilical cord Blood
Can produce, Bone, muscle, nerve and blood vessels.
Meristematic Cells
They are undifferentiated or incompletely differentiated. They are totipotent and are capable of continued cell division.
Embryonic stem cells
Stem cells from the human embryo
