HOW TO REMEMBER STATS TESTS?
Simon Cowell Want More Singers (and) RIC NO (more)
HOW TO CALCULATE MANN WHITNEY U?
Rank all scores from highest to lowest
Find the sum of the ranks for each condition.
Calculate the smallest U.
HOW TO CALCULATE WILCOXON?
Find the difference between two conditions (+ or -) for each ps.
Rank all differences, ignore 0 values.
Count how many + and - figures there are.
Add up the rans for the less frequent sign.
HOW TO CALCULATE CHI-SQUARED?
Add the totals for each column/row.
Calculate expected frequencies- row total x column total.
Use formula for each cell.
Add all calculated values up.
Calculate degrees of freedom- (numbers of rows - 1) x (number of columns -1)
HOW TO CALCULATE BINOMINAL SIGN?
Determine positive and negative values for data ( yes to no mean +) ( no to yes mean -) ( no change means ignore).
Add each positive and negative change in direction.
Smallest direction score = S value.
HOW TO CALCULATE SPEARMAN’S?
Rank each column individually.
Find the difference between ranks for each pp.
Square the differences between ranks.
Add all squared differences.
Apply the formula.
5(number of ps)(25 (number of ps squared)-1)
