General approach - physical
Vitals (HR, BP, RR, postural vitals, rectal temp, sats, glucose, GCS)
Inspection (swelling, erythema, atrophy, deformity, symmetry)
Palpation (crepitus, effusion, warmth, tenderness)
ROM (active + passive)
Resisted ROM for strength
Special tests
Examine opposite side to compare
Examine joint above + below
Check neurovascular status
