START UP

a. master switch position 1,
b. fire bottle check,
c. emergency second gear “N”,
d. mode selector N,
e. gear selector position 1,
f. park brake on,
g. steering bow “N”,
h. perform AFESS test,

i. master switch to position 2,
J. pump brake pedal until light illuminates
k. press trans safety switch,
I. five (5) lights, (TRANS SAFE SW, TRANS PRESS, BRAKE, BRAKE PRESS, BATT CHARGE);=
m. start up; and

SHUTDOWN

Switch off the Leopard 2, by:
a. apply park brake,
(1) mode selector “N”,
2) check engine temperature:
(a) if under 90 degrees press and hold engine stop button,
(b) if above 90 degrees 1200 RPM until it drops below
(c) turn heater OFF, allow to purge (lights are off)
(d) master swtich to position 1,
b. switch to position 0 on command.
