Q

provide delayed imitation

A
  • “It’s a bird. What is it?”
  • add a phrase after the production of the target word so the child is not repeating the last word heard
  • if possible, after the word is elicited via delayed imitation, try to elicit it again spontaneously by asking
  • “What’s this again?”
