Q

How is a power off (imminent) stall practiced?

A

With wings level, reduce power to idle and maintain altitude. As airspeed reduces to white arc, fully extend flaps. Lower the nose to approach pitch, and when its stabilized, slowly bring the nose to a climb attitude.

Q

How is a power on (imminent) stall practiced?

A

Keep wings level and reduce power. Lower flaps if normally used for takeoff. Set airspeed to rotation speed and power to full. Raise nose to above climb pitch attitude.

Q

Describe recovery from a power on imminent stall.

A

Lower the nose. If flaps are extended, slowly retract the flaps once Vy (best rate of climb speed) is reached.

Q

How is a accelerated stall practice?

A

Reduce speed to 1.5x of stall speed. Enter a 45 degree turn while maintaining altitude. Bring the elevator back briskly to initiate the stall.
