s2 Protection from Harassment Act 1997
Harassment without violence - offence to pursue a course of conduct which involves harassment of one or more persons.
s1 Protection from Harassment Act 1997
A person must not pursue a course of conduct which amounts to harassment of another or of two or more persons, and which he/she knows or ought to know amounts to harassment.
s2A Protection from Harassment Act 1997
Stalking - suspect must pursue a course of conduct that involves harassment and must know/ought to know that it amounts to harassment, the suspect’s acts or omissions must be associated with stalking (such as following the person, watching/spying on him/her, contacting him/her by any means)

Isolated events causing distress - can claim in civil proceedings
s4 Protection from Harassment Act 1997
Putting people in fear of violence - conduct must be targeted at an individual and calculated to alarm or cause distress, it must also be oppressive or unreasonable,
s4A Protection from Harassment Act 1997
Stalking involving fear of violence or serious alarm or distress - course of conduct must amount to stalking and also cause the victim to fear on at least two occasions that violence will be used against him/her or serious alarm or distress which has a substantial adverse effect on his/her usual day to day activities
s5 Protection from Harassment Act 1997
Restraining orders can be made under this section against a person who has been convicted or acquitted of any offence to protect a person from harassment
