- may have hidden, unshared interest in the goal
- may want to provide some input but wary

- shares vision, wants it success
- looks for ways to support
- will provide resources, info, expertise
- respect + celebrate contributions

- ppl with whom building agreement and dvp trust have failed
- has strong q, reservations, concerns
- actively resists your efforts
= ADVERSARIES
What are the characteristics of people with low agreement and high trust as a stakeholder type?
= FRIENDLY OPPONENT
- has conflicting visions, goals or methods
- shares honest, high-trust relationship
- may provide expertise, insights
- may challenge ur efforts, resulting in more effective strategies
What are the elements of the pyramid of communication?
individuals -> groups -> influencers -> leaders
key messages can expand in either direction, and they are often repeated multiple times in ‘expanding circle of awareness’

fighting unemployment

maintaining essential industries

a “safe” work environment motivates collectivists, whereas challenges motivates individualists

collectivism = employee has a penchant for dependence on organisation through training, satisfactory workplace conditions, good benefits
individualism = preference to fulfill leisure time, build friendships, improve skills independently of an organisation
