Q

What is the purpose ?

A

Is to reveal cytolical details which is not apparnat

It can however reveal to us where certain chemical reations can take place within the cells or tissue.

Q

Vitro Staining

A

Involves coluring cells or structures which are not living.

Certain features are merged or combines to increase the detail and features rather than a single stain

They are combined with specific protocols for fixation and sample preparation ,scientist and physians can use these standard techniques as consistent and repeatable diagnostic

Counterstain is stain which makes cells or structures more visible than when its not completely visible .

Q

Procedures in Preparing a Sample

A
  1. Permeabilization this is to do with the treatments of cells with a mild surfactant which dissolves cell membranes to allow larger dyes moclues to enter inside.
  2. Fixation : Serves to fix or preserve cells or tissues morphology through preparation process.

Involves adding a chemical fixation that creates chemical bonds between proteins to increase their rigidity

Common fixatives include formaldehyde , ethanol and methanol and or picric acid .
