- all children play
- infants play from a few months old
- play promotes holistic development

A
- Solo Play is at this point, this is egocentric play as the child is engrossed by Thier own okay to care about others
- they play alone with toys
- they are aware that other infants are there but are not keen on playing with them

A
This is parallel play.
- children are playing next to eachother but don’t get involved with other children’s play
- children are aware of others and can copy each other, without interaction.

Co-operative play
- sharing, talking, and playing together
- children share resources and ideas in the same activity
- they interact and agree roles to develop their play towards a shared goal
