Osteomyelitis

A

-Should cover MRSA, Enterobacteriaceae, and +/- P. aeruginosa

Pseudomonas (PA) coverage: MIZ TAP
-Imipenem, Meropenem, Zosyn
-Ceftazidime, Aztreonam, Cefepime

Duration
-No residual infected tissue: 2-5 days
-Residual soft tissue infection: 1-3 weeks
-Residual viable infected bone: 4-6 weeks
-No surgery or residual dead bone: ≥ 3 months
