Infancy in Uganda: 2 year naturalistic observation of an African tribe. Found that responsiveness effects attachment type.
Baltimore Study: Observed 26 mothers in America (No checklist). Interview a year later and assessing relationship with SSS. Sensitivity = secure.

Main and Soloman - reanalysis of over 200 studies. Uncovered Type D - insecure-disorganised. Lacks consistent pattern, lack of strategy to deal with stress of separation. Strong attachment then quickly followed by fear. Odd movements only when the career is present.
