Clear layout- categorise material logically under appropriate headings

Avoid conflicting provisions
Short sentences
Drafting- Style and language
Clear, precise, easy to understand (no redundant pairs - alter and change)
no uncertain periods
Clause A subject to Clause B - B overrides A
Clause A notwithstanding Clause B- A overrides B
Active voice
Grammar/punctuation/pselling
Respect English courts rule of interpretation- ordinary and natural meaning of words, some words implied by law
