27
Q

On takeoff, what Speed does SRS command if an engine failure is detected?

A

Maintains the greater of V2 or current speed, up to V2 + 15.

28
Q

When does the airplane exit SRS mode?

A

Automatically at acceleration altitude or when another vertical mode is engaged.

29
Q

With V/S active, what would happen if you select a higher speed?

A

A/THR increases the thrust to maintain speed.

30
Q

During a normal takeoff, when will the A/THR become engaged?

A

When thrust levers are between the CL and IDLE detents if previously armed or (one engine running) the MCT and IDLE detents.

31
Q

In a managed climb, what FMA changes will occur if you pull HDG?

A

Open Climb - (left NAV)

THR CLB
OP CLB (blue ALT)
HDG

32
Q

During an ILS Approach, at approx what altitude will the LOC/GS indication change to LAND on the FMA and what does it mean?

A

Below 400’ RA

33
Q

During an autoland, when do you expect the FMA FLARE indication to appear?

A

40’ RA

34
Q

During an autoland, with the FMA FLARE indication displayed, what should the autopilot and autothrust be doing?

A

Aligning the yaw axis with the runway centerline and flaring in pitch.

Thrust is reduced to idle.

35
Q

During an autoland, what does ROLL OUT indicate?

A

Autopilot is guiding the aircraft along the runway centerline and PFD displays the yaw bar.

36
Q

During a Go-Around, what FMA indications will confirm that the aircraft has entered the GA phase?

A

?

37
Q

In level flight with the thrust levers in the CL detent, what will happen to the thrust of you press the instinctive disconnect p/b?

A

Thrust will be immediately set to the corresponding TL position. Match TL to the current EPR, then press the button.

38
Q

What does THR LK mean?

How would you get out of it?

A

Autothrust has disconnected due to failure or selection of FCU pb while the thrust levers are in the CL (or MCT) detent. The thrust setting is fixed at the level existing just prior to the disconnection. Moving the TL out of the CL detent disengages thrust lock and restores manual thrust.

39
Q

When the aircraft leaves Alpha Floor conditions what FMA change will occur?

A

TOGA LK

40
Q

What triggers ALPHA FLOOR protection to engage? And what does the A/THR command?

A

High Angle of attack

TOGA

41
Q

What does TOGA LK indicate? How do you get out of it?

A

Aircraft lis leaving alpha floor conditions after alpha floor activation.

Disconnect A/THR

42
Q

What is indicated by a fault light in the GEN pb?

A
  1. The associate GCU (generator control unit) trips
  2. The line contractor opens (unless pb selected off)

Normally illuminates before Engine start

43
Q

What does a BATT OFF light indicate?

A

The battery charger limited is not operating.

and… DC BATT BUS is supplied. HOT buses remain supplied.

44
Q

What does the BATT fault light represent?

A

Charging current is outside limits

45
Q

What does the smoke light in the GEN 1 LINE pb indicate?

A

Smoke detected in avionics ventilation duct

46
Q

What occurs when the GEN 1 LINE pb is selected off?

A

GEN 1 contractor opens. AC Bus 1 supplied from GEN 2 through bus tie contractors. A separate circuit is energized from GEN 1 to supply power to one fuel pump in each main tank.

47
Q

What is indicated by a RAT and EMER GEN fault light?

A

Emergency generator is not supplying power when AC bus 1 and 2 are not powered.

48
Q

With RAT MAN ON switch in AUTO, what will cause the RAT to deploy?

A

Aircraft Speed is greater than 100kts and AC BUS 1 and 2 are not electrically supplied.

49
Q

Will the RAT deploy on the ground while parked if you press the red guarded MAN ON pb?

A

Yes

50
Q

Which Hydraulic system is pressurized by deployment of the RAT?

A

Blue

51
Q

What does illumination of the FAULT light in the APU Master switch indicate?

A

Illuminates when an automatic APU shutdown occurs.

52
Q

when you discharge agent 2, what indication would you expect to immediately see on the Cargo Smoke panel?

A

DISCH 2 and disappearance of
DISCH AGENT 2

(DISCH 2 illuminates 60 min after disch of agent 1 and extinguishes when agent 2 squib is ignited.)
