SPV 2 Flashcards
Unstoppable Pitch Down Above VLS (Abnormal V Alpha Prot)
NA
You see a flashing amber OPEN light next to the Cockpit Door switch (with the associated aural alarm). What does this mean?
Someone in the cabin has started an emergency access procedure.
With the LAND switches selected OFF, what is the status of the landing lights?
Extinguished the landing light but leaves it extended.
Which lights illuminate with the EMER EXIT LT selected ON?
Overhead emergency lights, EXIT signs, and Floor proximity emergency escape path marking system)
What happens to the nose wheel response to tiller input as airspeed increases?
Reduced as airspeed increases.
Initially +-75°
What will occur if the TERR pb is selected OFF?
Inhibits the database terrain detection function, and keeps the basic GPWS modes 1-5 operative.
What does the GPWS SYS fault light indicate?
Indicates a mode(s) malfunction.
What is inhibited when the G/S MODE pb is selected off?
Glideslope mode
What will occur if you select the FLAP MODE push button off?
Flap mode 4 “Too Low Flaps” is inhibited to avoid nuisance warnings when landing with a reduced flap setting.
What occurs when the LDG FLAP 3 pb is selected ON?
(White) Flap mode 4 “TOO LOW FLAPS” is inhibited when FLAPS CONF (configure) 3 is selected. In this case the ECAM LDG MEMO displays “FLAPS…3” instead of “FLAPS… FULL”
If an emergency access is initiated, how much time do you have to select “LOCK” in order to prevent unauthorized access to the flight deck?
Must be selected within 30 seconds of emergency access request.
What portion of the cockpit lighting is available on battery power only?
RH Dome light
With the EMER EXIT LT selector to ARM, when will the EXIT SIGNS illuminate?
Excessive cabin altitude illuminates exit signs.
With the EVAC switch in the CAPT position, can an alert be activated from the cabin?
Yes, but signal will only be apparent in the flight deck and for 3 seconds.
The lights in the EMER switch flash and you hear 3 long buzzers sound in the flight deck. What does this indicate?
Emergency call from the cabin to the flight deck.
What happens when you push the MECH pb?
COCKPIT CALL illuminates blue on the external power panel in the nose L/G bay (lit until reset pressed on external panel). An external horn sounds while button is held.
What is the position of the PACK Flow Control valves when the APU BLEED is ON?
Fully open for high flow automatically
What happens to the ENG BLEED valves when the APU BLEED valve opens?
They close
With both engines running, APU supplying bleed air, and X BLEED switch in auto; are the ENG Bleed valves open or closed?
Closed
Regardless of switch position, what PACK flow is provided during single PACK operation?
High
What is indicated by a fault light in the HOT AIR pb?
Duct overheat is detected.
The valve and trim air valves close automatically.
If the APU bleed valve is open and the X BLEED selector is in AUTO, what is the position of the X BLEED valve?
OPEN
Auto: the xbleed valve is open if the APU bleed valve is open and closed if the APU bleed valve is closed.
With the LDG ELEV selector in AUTO, how is the LDG ELEV set?
Pressurization system uses the FMGS data to construct an optimized pressurization schedule.
What happens to the ventilation system when either the BLOWER or EXTRACT p/b are selected to OVRD?
Air from the air conditioning system is added to ventilation air.
(BOTH) Air flows from the Conditioning system, then overboard
What happens when the DITCHING p/b is selected ON?
Sends a “close” signal to inlets and valves below the water line:
Outflow valve if in auto
Emergency RAM inlet
Avionics inlet and extract valves
Pack flow control valves
