Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome is the body’s response to a stimulus, such as infection or trauma
When would you diagnose SIRS
when a patient displays 2 or more of the following criteria:
-Temperature <36ºC or >38ºC
-Heart rate >90 beats per minute
-Respiratory rate >20 breaths per minute
