What is the responses for a sprain/ strain (RICE + avoid HARM)

- DRSABCD

RICER- Rest
I- ice/cold pack for 15 minutes every 2 hours then 15 minutes every 4 hours
C- Compression bandage
E- Elevate injury -
Avoid HARMH - Heat
A - Alcohol
R - Running / exercise
M - Massage - Seek medical aid

A

- Immobilise broken bone
- Seek medical aid.
optional:
- Watch for signs of loss of circulation to the limb every 15
minutes.

A
- Follow DRSABCD.
- Rest and support limb.
- Apply a cold pack
- Seek medical aid.
