Q

Describe the stadium

A

The outside of the stadium has the appearance of an African pot. The coating on the outside is a mosaic of fire and earth colours which simulate fire under the pot.

There are 10 black lines articulating the stadium. 9 of these lines are aligned with with the other 9 venues for the 2010 world cup.

9 is considered to be an u .lucky number in South Africa and so there is an extra line which is aimed at Berlin’s Olympic stadium which hosted the 2006 world cup final
