Under the diaphragm

A
Splenic artery from coeliac trunk

Proliferate and mature lymphocytes
Recycle old/damaged erythrocytes
Immune surveillance- constantly filters blood in order to detect presence of microorganisms

Highly vascularised (large blood supply)
