A

checking for peripheral vascual disease (vascular pathology rather than spine pathology- claudication pain , cramping in legs comes on after predicatabel amount of exercise- relieved by rest

spinal stenosis also presents with claudciation pain (neurogenic claudication)

check pulses to determine which it is
