A

Diploid cells lining the walls of the seminiferous tubules. These cells go through mitosis very day. These cells are stimulated by FSH and Testosterone.

Sertoli Cells

A

Are stimulated by Testosterone and FSH, which nurse the developing sperm. Once they are stimulated, they begin meiosis. By the end of meiosis, they are called spermatids.

Process

  1. Occurs in the seminiferous tubules of the testes
  2. The spermatogonial cells multiply to produce diploid cells.The cells undergo myosis to produce fur haploid spermitids
