speech style
speech style that we used to a person or people we are closed with
Intimate Style
used in conversation between friends and groups who share background information but don’t have close relations
casual style
refers to a word/s created by a particular group
Slang
are set of words used by those who are in the rural parts of a country
country slang
are slangs spoken by those from the city
Urban slang
used by gays, bisexualn and anyone from lgbt+ spectrum
gay slang
words used by almost everybody
common slang
words/phrases used in a specific setting, profession or trade and might not be understood by people out of what’s mentioned
Jargons
used when we talk to strangers or when we do not know the person well
consultative
used in formal settings. the main function is to impart information
Formal style
is the most formal of all styles. Also called a fixed speech
Frozen Style
in music, it denotes the highness or lowness of a note. in sports, specifically in baseball, it means to deliver/srve the ball to the batter. in television or film prooduction, it means to present ideas for the screen play.
Pitch
in business, it stands for price/earnings to growth ratio. in filipino slang, it means a standart source of inspiration.
Peg
shorthand version of a word created by removing internal letters and sounds
contractions
