Specific Heat Capacity Flashcards
1
Q
Specific heat and Specific Heat capacity
A
Amount of heat given to a system such that its temperature increases but the state of matter remains the same.
This heat is utilised to increase the K.E of particles.

Q
Formulae
A
Q is proportional to mass
Q is proportional to ∆T (change in temp)
Q is proportional to mc∆T where C is the specific heat capacity.
C=J/kgK
