Q

Sperm cell

A

The head contains enzymes which allows it to go inside of an egg cell and join with it. The sperm is small with a long tail with that it provides movement so it can swim and find an egg cell. The special function of a sperm cell is to fertilise the egg. It contains half the DNA needed to create a BABY (IM BABY)

Q

Egg cell (ovum).

A

It’s special function is to be fertilised. An egg cell is found in the ovaries and contains the other half of the DNA needed in order to have a baby. The egg cell is large and bulky. It also contains hill with provides a good source for the new cell being formed.

Q

Palisade cell

A

The palisade is designed for photosynthesis. It’s found on the top of the lead. The cell is tall and has a large surface area to absorb water and minerals. Palisade cells are packed with chloroplasts to help make plant food. The palisade cell contains. Many chloroplasts to make light energy into a lot of sugar.

Q

Ciliated cell

A

The ciliated cell is designed to stop lung damage. The cell lines all the air passages in the lungs. They have tiny hairs called cilia. Hairs sweep mucus with trapped dust and bacteria back in the throat

Q

Root hair cell

A

The root hair cell’s function is absorbing. The thin cell wall makes it easy for minerals to pass through. It has a large surface which help it to absorb water and minerals. The root hair cell is the roots of the plant.

Q

Nerve cell (neurone)

A

They’re long and have connections at each end. The nerve cell can carry electrical signals. The neurone’s job is to carry nerve impulses to different parts of the body.

A

Muscle cells are found clumped together to form muscles. The cell has three main adaptions: protein lengths that make muscles contract; lots of mitochondria to produce energy and can story gylcon.
