It when the cell wall or membrane allow a limited amount of particles through.

What is osmosis?
A
Osmosis is the moment of water molecules from high water concentration through a partially-permeable membrane. Osmosis is the movement of the water. Large or charged molecules cannot pass through the partially-permeable cell membrane. Water can pass freely through the membrane.
