What is the Voluntary muscles job?
Surround the bones of your skeleton are muscles that you use to move around.(Voluntary muscles) You can chose to make these move or not move, and so they are referred to as voluntary muscles. Example biceps and triceps.
What do the voluntary muscles look like?
They have a striped appearance.
What is an involuntary muscle?
They at the muscles that work without you having to think about it. But you can still control some of them. These are muscles involved in breathing and moving food through your gut.
What do involuntary muscles look like?
They are smooth in appearance.
What are Cardiac muscles?
They’re the type of muscle in the heart. Cardiac muscle is an involuntary muscle but looks like a voluntary muscle. You definitely can’t control it
What is the nerve cell?
They make up you brain. They also carry information from your brain to other parts of your body. e.g. Muscles->Brain and Brain->Muscles. They also have AXONS.
Axons allow the cell to carry messages over longer distances.
What is in Blood?
Red blood cells
White blood cells
Platelets
Liquid plasma
What is the role of red blood cells?
They carry oxygen from your lungs around your body to cells where it is release
What is the white blood cells role?
They’re apart of the immune system.
What do the platelets do?
They help stop bleeding and heal wounds.
Liquid plasma what does it do?
Carries proteins
What are the two types of fat cells?
White fat cells: They store energy for the body. They also form an insulating layer under the skin that keeps your body at a constant temperature.
Brown Fat cells: They produce heat for the body when your cold.
