TIMED SPECIMENS
TEST IS USED TO EVALUATE DIABETES MELLITUS,FASTING GLUCOSE LEVEL COMPARED WITH THE LEVEL 2 HOURS AFTER EATING/INGESTION OF GLUCOUSE
TWO HOUR POSTPRANDIAL
TEST USED FOR DIAGNOSE DIABETES MELLITUS AND EVALUATE PATIENT WITH FREQUENT LOW BLOOD SUGAR.
1) 3 HRS OGTT USED TO TEST HYPERGLYCEMIA (HIGH BLOOD SUGAR LEVEL)
2) 5 HRS OGTT USED TO TEST HYPOGLYCEMIA (LOW BLOOD SUGAR LEVEL)
TEST SHOULD BE DONE BTW 7/9AM
ORAL GLUCOSE TOLERANCE TEST (OGTT)
