- Lachman’s
- pivot shift test
- anterior drawer test
- posterior drawer test
- varus / valgus stress tests
These 3 tests are indicated for ACL integrity
- Lachman’s

- Pivot shift ( also rotary stability)
Lachman’s positive test
Translation affected side > non-affected side ( test bilaterally)
Varus/ Valgus stress tests for
MCL/ LCL integrity
Pivot shift positive test
audible/ palpable thud of click
Anterior drawer positive test
Translation affected side > non-affected side ( test bilaterally)
Varus/ Valgus Positive test
excessive tibiofemoral joint line opening with concordant pain (compared to non-affected LE)
laxity with pain , test bilaterally
ACL/ PCL injury implicated with
laxity at full extension
