SOGS-2 (Schedule of growing skills)
What tools would be more applicable in secondary care?
- Griffiths mental development scales
- Bayley scales of infant development

Define Additional Support Needs?
Kids have ASNs if they need additional support with education that isn’t normally provided in mainstream education
List 4 types of plan we can set in place for a child with ASNs?
- Personal Learning Plan (PLP)
- Individualised Education Plan (IEP)
- Coordinated Support Plan (CSP)
- Child’s Plan
Which “plan” is described by:
“A way to plan what/how a child learns, assess their progress and act on that assessment”
A personal learning plan
PLP
What plan is described by:
“Detailed plan for child’s learning using SMART targets”
IEP - individualised Educational Plan
What plan is used if a kid needs extra support e.g. access to mental health services, respite care or help from multiple agencies? And may include an IEP or CSP?
A child’s plan (Part of the GIRFEC approach)
What plan is a legal document and has the following criteria:
- Complex or multiple needs
- Needs likely to continue >1yr
- Support required from >1 agency
A coordinated Support Plan (CSP)
The only legally binding document
