What is a Allergy?
A food allergy is when a person’s body reacts in a negative way to the food they have eaten (If we eat a food that our body is allergic to, our body reacts to it. This can be mild or very serious.)
Can you die from an allergy?

What are food intolerances?
Our body finds it difficult to digest certain food products and can cause an unpleasant reaction
What name is given to individuals that cannot get wheat?
Coeliac
What name is give to individuals that cannot eat dairy products?
Lactose intolerance
What is Lactose?
A sugar found in naturally in milk products that individuals find hard to digest.
State 2 side effects a person who is lactose intolerance could experience?
Bloating, sickness/being sick, diarrhoea, rash etc
State 3 other intolerances or allergies apart from Coeliac, Nuts, Lactose i.e. milk?
Egg, Mustard, Sesame, Fish, Cellery
