A kitchen porter cleans up after the chef and may do some very basic preparation for them

What does the term wages mean?
The amount of money someone is paid for each hour they work
What does salary mean?
A fixed amount of money someone is paid each month in return for the work they do for an employer
What is meant by a ‘work-life balance?
Maintaining a harmonious balance between work and personal life (you have to incorporate rest, fun and peace to have a healthy body, spirit and mind)
