What is induction?
A
When a charged object affects the distribution of charges on an uncharged/neutral object

Why do we sometimes feel electric shocks?
A
If we rub a part of our body onto an insulator, electrons are transferred from the insulator to us, if we touch a conductor (metal), electrons will flow between the conductor and you. This creates a little shock

Why does lightning occur?
A
Clouds build up an electrostatic charge that is discharged via the air to the earth when it becomes too large

What does electrostatic spraying do?
A
It allows charged droplets to repel each other and spread out, reducing the amount of spraying needed
